Book Presentation: There is a City Called Heaven
Please join Director Monica Davis and Richard Potter for an illustrated talk about the book "There is a City Called Heaven" which complements and contextualizes the Ruth Starr Rose exhibit at the Water's Edge Museum in Oxford, MD. The book honors early African American spirituals recorded by artists and writers on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Lunch & Learn: Pop's Old Place
Pop's Old Place, a Century Family Farm in Dorchester County owned by Darlene and Arthur Wilson. This farm works in harmony with nature, and its focus is on soil health, animal welfare and environmental stewardship. They will share a documentary about the farm that was done with David Tharp, Richard Anderson and Tom Horton. The Lunch & Learn Speakers series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Coffee and dessert will be provided.
