The Ward Brothers (1966)

Location:Crisfield, Maryland
Description:The Ward brothers, Steve and Lem, are world famed as waterfowl carvers. In a busy year about a quarter century ago, the brothers turned out 800 shooting stools which sold for $1.25 each. Today a pair of what Lem calls his “fancy ducks” will bring as much as $500, and he is a year and a half behind in filling orders. The men are masters of a disappearing art.
