Sharing Our Memories

If you have been thinking about writing your memoirs but don't know how or where to get started, this Zoom class is for you! During sessions, each participant will share their 500-word essay assigned during the prior session. Writing takes place at home, and stories will be read and discussed during class time. This ongoing course meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month, 10:30 a.m. - noon. To register, call the library at 410-822-1626. Upon registration, you will receive a Zoom invitation and a writing assignment which will be read and discussed during the next session.

Monday Movie at Noon: "Rabbit Proof Fence"

Based on a true story, in Australia, three half-cast children were taken from their parents and sent to an institution where they were taught to forget their culture and become part of “white” society. The three girls begin an epic journey back home, 1,500 miles following the fence that had been built to stem an over-population of rabbits.

Memoir Writing

Thursday Writers will meet the second and fourth Thursday of the month at St. Michaels Library, in person. Learn how to preserve your family's history by writing and sharing your stories. Please pre-register for this program by calling 410-745-5877.

Library Teen Focus Group

Meeting held at the St. Michaels library meeting room. Teens! Here's a chance to earn service-learning hours and help the St. Michaels Library. Participants will answer questions in a small discussion group and provide their thoughts and opinions about library services for teens. Ages 12-18. Bring your service-learning papers with you.
